I also have to agree with Dick, "Shallo's is a traditional favorite." I can't get enough of their homemade potato chips. I used to get down to the south side quite often, but not much anymore.

I went their with my wife and ordered a burger just to see. Not a great burger, but it is a great place. Some people tell me my burger standards are too high. Let's say I'm discriminating when it comes to burgers. The full review is on the Burger Quest page.

I have HIGH standards on burgers too. Why settle. I have no problem spending more to get a remarkable patty.

Bean Cup and Shallo's. Although The Bean Cup is a coffee shop, Chris is so nice and makes great food. Their quiche in the mornings is fabulous and the homemade hummus is great in the afternoon. They also have great salads and sandwiches for lunch; my fiance LOVES their iced chai tea w/ soy milk, too.
