Making people and ideas findable

I love natural health techniques. I am not perfect from eating whole foods all the time or getting a workout everyday. I do stretch, lift, cardio and go to my chiroprator. I use natural herbs and see doctors who practice natural medicine. I saw this item on a website I visit for news. This Neti Pot is to be used to help with sinus allergies and people who are in high pollution areas.

Any natural medicine people out there have used this? Here is the link.

I used one mine morning, for the first time in way too long. I am thankful that I did and feel great. It is a cleansing practice that I understand can address the issues that you indicated above and/or can be part of a hatha yoga practice... It can be much more pleasant than it might initially appear. I'm not an expert but, since you asked, I do use one.

Oh, youch!!! I just took a look at the website, and that picture looks awfully painful! Have you used it?

I love my Neti Pot. I have seasonal sinus issues, and if I keep up with using the Neti Pot on a regular basis, I can many times prevent more serious sinus infections. This isn't for everyone, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from sinuse pressure and headaches. It is a little weird, running a pot of water through your nostrails, but it works.

Thanks for the input! I have not used it but looking into getting it.

I use a sinus rinse kit, and cannot say enough about it. It really works . I went thru 5-6 sinus infections a year, sometimes turning into bronchitus, pnemonia and so on. I was spending so much money every time I got sick, that finally a pharmacist told me about it. I was very close to having sinus surgery. I can't believe a $10 kit has kept me healthy for a year and a half now. I use the sinus rinse every time the seasons change / or the weather temp changes drastically.

I try to follow good health techniques...kinda like you. I have used a Neti Pot before. It kinda weird but a good habit (which I have gotten out of....like flossing daily). Those would be two good habits for me to re-institute this new year.

I prefer all natural as much as possible too. I don't think society realizes how much processed foods and our choice making is affecting our health and our bodies. I have recently gotten involved with a product called Zija that is "pure nutrition". It is enzymatically alive, the first and only drink of it's kind to date, and it has helped alleviate many of my health issues. So much so that I have started selling it, and I'm making long-term residual income. It has not yet hit the Indiana market, but I've made it my duty to bring it to hoosiers with sinus problems, fibromyalgia, diabetes and many other diseases. Because really, dis-ease is simply lack of nutrition and inflammation of some type, isn't it? This 100% natural beverage is completely bio-available and starts working on many issues as quickly as 5 days. If you, or someone you know is interested in attending my first Indiana business reception to introduce this product, please contact me at 317-670-3228 or jpetry67@yahoo.com to rsvp for Thursday, July 23rd @ 7:30 pm at Fishers Office Suites at 141st & SR37 in Fishers, Indiana. Free samples and snacks will be provided!

I use one and I recommend it whether you have allergies or live in a high pollution area or not. It truly can prevent sickness on many levels. It's not painful at all. It's kind of weird at first, but you get used to it. You can't blow your nose enough to make a difference. The Neti is the way to go.

I got a neti pot at CVS and used it for the first time on Thursday night. I thought it was great. David's right -- it's a weird sensation the first couple times you do it, but it really makes a difference.

Scott as soon as I saw this discussion I instantly thought of your video :) You need to post that on here for the first timers who want to know what they are getting themselves into.

To save money when using a Neti Pot, use regular sea salt or Himilayan salt. No need to pay for the expensive packaged salts. During an active infection, using a tea made out of Goldenseal instead of plain water will kill the infection very rapidly. In addition to antiviral and antibacterial properties, Goldenseal is very soothing and helps stimulate healing.

LOL ... I've used Tea Tree Oil and Oregano Oil in my Neti Pot before, but I don't recommend it unless you're desperate. :)

I used one for a year and thought it was great. I lost it in a move, and now I'm going to get another one today. Thanks for the reminder!
