Making people and ideas findable

I start every day by finding a quote I want to keep in mind throughout the day - kind of a "theme" or "tone" for the day.

My favorite quote - the one I always keep in mind is: "We must be the change we wish to see in the world." ~Gandhi

What is your favorite quote or proverb?

I wish we had more here in our county as there is definitely a need. Yes, its heartbreaking and I find frustrating at times more often than not. It's by far the worst and best job I've ever had. :-)

Man, you've got options! Kenny Tart (a friend of mine from Mobile, AL, I was complaining about my job at the time, best advice I ever received!)

This one is from my 6-year-old daugther - it just makes me happy ... "I'm so happy my smile is stuck to my cheeks."

There are a few different quotes that I carry around with me at all times, because I like to make sure they stay freshly on my mind:

"Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should."
(Max Ehremann - Desiderata)

"People are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."
(Abe Lincoln)

"Failure? I have never encountered it. All I ever met were temporary obstacles."
(Unknown)

"Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."
(Robert Frost - The Road Not Taken)

"A friend is someone who knows everything about you and loves you anyway."
(Unknown)

From the late great Douglas Adams: "There is an art to flying, or, rather, a knack; the knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss."
