Is this the escape route?

John F. Miller was born in South Bend, Indiana (where he attended college and later practiced law - moving his practice to Napa, practicing out of San Francisco) - later became collector of customs of Port of San Francisco - and continued his career in politics when he became a Senator for California.

Here's a pdf file of his obituary.

They both have house majority leaders. Nancy Pelozi (sp) Pat Bower.

Ok enough drama already. What is the final answer? I have not seen any post since mine yesterday and was wondering if you had posted the answer and I did not see it.

Okay... With such great anticipation for the answer, here goes: Both cities have produced remarkably legendary representatives. South Bend = Pat Bauer, San Francisco = Nancy Pelosi.

Describing either as "remarkably legendary representatives" shall reduce your credibity with many Smoosiers I should think; tabbing both of them with such a label may well drop you off the radar screens of many, many more.
Otherwise an excellent trivia question.

Duke - 'twas sarcasm.

Ron---I most definitely thank you for that clarification.

No worries, Duke... I was wondering if anyone would push back :). Have a super weekend.

Here's another one: What doN'T Indiana and California have in common? We could have a lot of "fun" with that one, don't you think?

I'll start: A MOUNTAIN OF STATE GOVERNMENT DEBT

While they are plentiful in Indiana, we have only a small fraction of the number of fruits and nuts who live here.
