Business Contacts in Shanghai or Hangzhou?

I'll be part of Governor Daniels' delegation to China and Japan in early September. The purpose for my trip on behalf of Indy Partnership is to begin building relationships with Chinese business and government leaders who can help us identify Chinese businesses that are thinking about investing in the U.S. -- all with the goal of bringing that investment to the Indianapolis region. We'll be in Shanghai and Hangzhou for a few days each. I'm talking to lots of different folks about existing contacts in both cities, but wanted to see if any Smoosiers had any relationships there that we should know about . Thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks, Brian. We won't be visiting Beijing on this trip; but I will be in Beijing in October as part of another trip. I learned yesterday that Purdue has a relationship with Peking University, so we're looking at how we leverage that relationship. Vic Lechtenberg of Purdue will be with us on this trip, and I know one of the things we'll talk about is how we use the Purdue Research Park (along with IU's Emerging Technology Center) as assets when we're talking to Chinese companies about doing business here.
