Making people and ideas findable

So....I have noticed more business women sporting miles of cleavage at networking events this summer. One chick's was so just out there that I bet her temperature controls were visible when she bent over. From an image consulting perspective, this is a killer for building business. I feel men don't take us seriously when we are showing almost as much mammary as a pole dancer at P.T.'s.

What do you think? Guys, how does a massive boob display affect your opinion of business women? Ladies, what are your thoughts?

I really appreciate Annie posing this question, even if some other people are knockering her for doing so. But the truth is, physical characteristics and appearances have mounds of influence on all of us. We do our breast to focus on professional skills, but tits hard to ignore human nature.

Women who happen to be more curvaceous should not feel like they are being put on the rack. Being aware of your body does not put you among the world of convicted melons. But there is such thing as ta-ta much. If people are hooters and hollering, well, you've bombs too far.

I hope that I haven't cup-sized this conversation. I know some people will get riled up and bazanga'd about this topic. My advice: jugs be conscious of others. People have a long mammary for this sort of thing. You'll be glands you made the right choice.

This reminds me of a temp job I had at a trucking company ten years ago. I was working in the parts department, cataloging a massive amount of truck parts, when an attractive young saleswoman walked in and asked for my boss. Dressed in a very short skirt and a "business" jacket showing much of her "assets", she was selling cleaning supplies. Of course, my boss had seen her walk in and hurried to the parts room.

He took her into his office where they chatted for awhile. The company I was working for was going through some financial difficulties and I knew that we were not allowed to buy from any more vendors. However, when they emerged from the office, Wayne (my boss) had talked her into a "demonstration". A crowd of truck drivers and mechanics gathered around to watch this attractive young lady scrub down a tractor and trailer. To the delight of Wayne and my co-workers, this took quite a while.

When she was finished, Wayne escorted her around the facility-- holding her hand like they were on a date. That looked pretty creepy to me, almost like she was prostituting herself. When I see something like that, my first reaction is that if a salesperson must resort to sex appeal to sell their wares, their product is probably crap. And in this instance, after looking at the cheap plastic items she brought, I believe I was right.

In short, she spent most of her day there and accomplished nothing. We did not buy anything and both parties wasted much of the day! Dressing provocatively may get your foot in the door, but it does not guarantee a sale!
