At what age are we no longer cool?

I think if your hearts pumpin and your neurons are firin, you're pretty cool. My neighbor died last spring after a long fight with cancer. She was cool and engaging right up until she rested.

Philosophically speaking, there is no proof that anything truly existed five minutes ago anyway. Enjoy putting that in your cool pipe and puffin on it for a little while. :o)

At some point in my youth I believed cool was synonymous simply with my name. Afterall..Snoopy had an alter-ego named Joe Cool and sported black sunglasses and EVERYBODY loved Snoopy. Upon showing up to school with black sunglasses and Joe Cool screened on the back of my t-shirt, I learned very quickly the feeling of humiliation as I was laughed out of the school building. Since that day, I have given up the thought of ever being considered cool in the eyes of society.

My 3 children believe I am a cool dad because we have 2 different "offices" in the house. One office is where they talk to me as Dad or where fatherly advice and discipline is administered and the other is where they can just talk to me as Joe their friend. They think its cool that 1) I am their Dad 2) I am also their friend and 3) there is a need, time and a place for both. So long as my kids think I'm cool...that does it for me. I'm cool! Cool?..oh..I'm 38 and losing no cool points in my children's eyes :)

Would that be > Stephen Hawking's age? Is he not the coolest?

I'm with Shannon. Caring about being cool makes you not cool. And for me, that's equivalent to caring what people think about you. I was relatively popular in high school. Was I cool? Not a bit. I cared way too much about how people saw me. Fitting in and being liked was of ultimate importance.

I know people in their 60's and 70's who are cool.

If you have to ask, if you care, if you try, then you never had it or you lost it long ago. (that would be the royal you)

Andy, you are the coolest of the cool!!!

My journey to "Cool" is as follows:

Admiring those who were cool when I was a kid
Trying to look cool/act cool as a teen
Being definitely uncool as a young mom
Being beyond hope of being cool when my kids were teenagers
Not caring how cool I was
Finally reaching a state of Cool (somewhat like Nirvana)...(the state of mind...not the band)...

It's not age, it's attitude.....unless of course you ask my kids.....then it's all about age...
