Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

Hello, since I am new to this community I thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Mike Sassman, and I am an alumni of Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics. Professionally, I work in customer support at a medium-sized software company in Illinois (while living in Indiana). Personally, I am a technology enthusiast with an Apple bias (having worked with/for them for 7 years).

I also do a lot of volunteer work with my Masonic Lodge and the local chapter of DeMolay. I am currently engaged to be married on Valentines day, 2009.

I am looking forward to discussing matters of technology and business in Indiana with the community, and I hope to develop some great relationships here.

Well, those are the answers...any questions?

I am glad to hear we have "Apple Bias" people in here.

What kinds of technology projects are you into these day? Just gizmos? Or are you a developer? Tinkerer?

Currently I am working on the technology committee for the Grand lodge of Masons in Indiana. I am helping them to develop a comprehensive strategy to lay the groundwork for good data management and continuing to develop a better web presence.

The fruits of our labors will be going live in the next few months.

Good luck in the next few months. Let us know how it turns out.

Hi Mike,

Am an Informatics lecturer from time to time. Graduated with an MLS from SLIS from IU in '96
Eventually, when ISEN is up and out there, we'd be cataloging publicly accessible databases.

Hi Mike! I am new to this group, but I have lived in on the Northeastside of Indy for my entire life. I work for CCR and Data in Indianapolis. We are a 20 year old Data Technology company specializing in One Source solutions for our clients. I am the Business Development manager. I am always looking to find people to work in conjuction with, offering our services as a one source solution. I noticed that you are "Apple Biased." I am working to close a deal currently with a company who loves Apple Products. We do not promote Apple Products, as it seems that companies are going in different directions, but I would like to use your expertise in this area. I think my company would also find you an asset whenever we need a Apple Professional. When will you be in the Indianapolis area again, or somewhere in between? I would like to set up a meeting to see if we can form a working partnership. Check out our website www.ccronline.com. Shoot me an email with a couple of dates that you might be free....kgallaway@ccronlin.com I look forward to hearing from you.
