Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

What are all you "Smoosiers" doing this weekend?

The conversation on Smaller Indiana usually tapers off over the weekend. Is that because folks are too busy having fun? Or is it because we think Smaller Indiana is JUST for business?

Whether you're still attached to your blackberry, or you're frolicking with your kids or on a weekend get-away, why not take a few minutes and let us know what you're doing FOR FUN this weekend.

I'm taking my daughter to ISSMA event at Ben Davis High School.

HOW do we post to Ning with a mobile device? I don't think that Ning sites render very well on mobile devices (unless you have Safari on an iPhone :-)

You figured out how to log in to SmallerIndiana from your iphone?!?!? Please share how you've done this b/c it doesn't work for me!

Honestly, I found Smallerindiana using Safari on the iPod touch.

I don't see why it wouldn't also work on the iphone.

I'm hanging with Amy and the kids. The newborn is 3 weeks old and we're starting to get used to having FIVE. Thanks to our neighbors and church we've received 3 straight weeks of dinners. Kids are a little tired of caseroles, so this weekend the kids get to choose what (and where) we eat. Looks like Puccini's and Thai Taste!

Tonight is cards and dinner with friends.. I am a decent, but not very competitive bridge player so the game is really an excuse for lots of conversation, good wine, and good food.

Any other mildly serious bridge players on Smaller Indiana?

Sunday we have tickets for the Wedding Singer at the Murat

We didn't buy the season, because quite honestly, the plays didn't look that good this year, but this should be fun. We are actually getting our theater fix from local stuff - the Pheonix and IRT.

Saturday is reserved for working for me.
Tonight I will be going over to a friends house to hang out and play some GUITAR HERRROOOO and Rockband.

Hanging out with the kids while Toni is working this morning. Then it's off to the Reds Caravan at Champps this evening. Plus I'm working on a grant application for the Indiana Arts Council. And if there's time, watching some DVDs from the library.

Going to the Ice Game tonight! HOCKEY! This is not necessarily fun, but after many months of frustrations, I have decided to rid of Vista and re-install XP. It will be such a relief to go back to something that works consistently... if you have Vista, I am sure that you can empathise.

I'll be changing diapers, not operating systems. Baby's plumbing works consistently. Anyone who switched from disposables to cloth will empathise!!

I use Vista alot, it seems to work pretty consistently for me.

Although, I am a big fan of Linux, so I tend to use the most recent Ubuntu distro I can get my hands on. I end up switching between Ubuntu, Vista, and OSX (at work) a lot and Vista seems to hold its ground in the consistency area.

I despise Vista. I bought a newer Dell about 6 months ago and it came with Vista.
I couldn't open two Adobe CS 2 programs without it locking up.

I re-installed XP and it works perfectly.
