Smaller Indiana

Making people and ideas findable

I'm interested to know what small business owners need or are looking for in a non-profit as they make choices about becoming philanthropic.

Any comments are welcome!

I would like to see more of the non-profits out in the public networking so that people can meet them. Gleaners Food Bank is a member of a BNI chapter and they do a great job getting their word out, participating and building strong relationships with both BNI Indiana and other business members. I like seeing their very business approach to their NFP.

For me I want to get to know the people behind the name.

I am on the board of directors for a couple of NFP one is on this site at my urging and the other, well not so much.

Hazel,

Thanks for your comments. What exactly is their "business approach to their NFP"? Is it that they are networking or is it in the way they manage their organization?

Thanks for your comments!

Roger
