Event Description

2 hours of fun...helping to wash off the spray chalk from Bigger Ideas...and pick up trash along Broadripple Ave and Mass Ave...to show folks how much we love our City and its cultural districts...

In our zeal to promote the Bigger Ideas event, we sent a wrong message to the shopkeepers and caretakers of two of our most beloved cultural districts: Mass Ave and Broadripple. Our "spray chalk" signs were not well received...so we're heading out to clean up after ourselves, and while we're at it, we thought we'd help pick up trash, wash windows, and maybe do a little light landscaping. Hoping some of you will come out and join us for a 2 hours burst of love...inspired by David Forsell of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, and his talk at the Bigger Ideas Conference.

Sounds like you may be done before I get there but I'll look for you guys. I think there is chalk sign across from Aesop's Tables on Mass.

Count me in! I would love to start with the year old tag on the Yats building that I have to look at everyday when I come and go. I'll have to ask Joe if I can remove it. Maybe he likes it there or something- who knows!

@Shawn - mineral spirits would help. Being there in spirit...not so much :-)

I will be leading the team in Broad Ripple. I will be in the parking lot at McDonalds starting at 8:45. If we can get six people, we should be able to knock it out in an hour, and still have time for coffee at one of the local coffee shops!

Pat,

I'd love to help, too - but am headed south to Louisville for the weekend.

Catch you next time.

I can't help because I will be working at Hoaglin To Go on Mass Ave that morning. I did, however, arrange a deal with our manager Nic for all you wonderful volunteers for the Mass Ave clean up. Hoaglin To Go will offer free coffee, tea, or a fountain drink to you guys. All you have to do is come in and say you are with the Smaller Indiana clean up crew, and it's yours. Our way of saying thank you and helping however we can.
