  and learn about local philanthropic opportunities through participati
 on in a “giving circle.” Giving circles, a fairly new trend, consi
 st of a group of individuals who pool their funds to donate to their c
 ommunities. Giving cirlces provide donors with a sense of engagment an
 d awareness about the donation process. The group also serves to stren
 ghten one’s passion to give and to promote philanthropy through grou
 p interaction and education.\n\nGiving Sum, a new giving circle here i
 n Indianapolis, will be present to share participation opporutnies and
  information.\n\nThis event will enable you to participate in a small 
 scale version of a giving circle, and to learn more about them. It wil
 l be held at the Indianapolis Marion County Library on May 15, from 5:
 30 to 7:00. Light food and refreshments will be provided. A donation o
 f $5 is expected, which will go towards the giving circle’s donation
