Event Description

Every 2nd Friday of the Month, Downtown Greenfield plays host to the CrazyLake Art House and National Road Creative Arts & Events Center Open Artist Studio night. Meet artists in their studios, wine, food, entertainment, and a gallery of work all under the roof of a historical 1895 building newly renovated. This event was recently listed in Indianapolis Monthly as Best new artistic endeavour! Just minutes off of I-70 out of Indianapolis in downtown Greenfield.
The featured artist exhibit for August is local artist Alix Cain . Alix began showing artistic talent early in his life. While a student at John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis, he studied drawing, painting, and etching.
His new Portals exhibition is made up of family, friends, and Alix's imagination. Recent works include many Angel and Master images. Currently his main focus is drawing portraits in watercolor pencil, along with some mixed media.

The eyes in the Portals collection represent the individual light of the soul. The intention of this work is to translate a loving communication between souls. Don't miss Portals!
Other featured guests for August will include a "RuMoReD" appearance by CrazyLake Acting Company, to preview their August show, Rumors by Neil Simon; local musician Jordan Best, who displays a mastery of the acoustic guitar at a young age and Stacey Poe, our Creative Arts Center's lastest addition, offering Ballroom and Zumba dance classes. Stacey will offer several free mini-classes during the evening, while also marking the Grand Opening of her studio!
